General Rules and Regulations
Stables must be booked on-line.
There are 77 Permanent Barn Stables, plus Temporary Barn Stables available on the showground. Temporary stables are £38 per night and are booked through the stabling section of the online booking system. An upgrade to Permanent Barn stables is an additional £20 per night (total £58 per night). Upgrades may be booked via the Sundry section of the online booking system. If upgrading to permanent stables, competitors must ensure that there is availability on each night they wish stables.
If you wish to increase the number of nights a horse is stabled once the initial stable booking is made, please contact the Show Secretary on 07855 663358 to amend your booking.
Horses may not arrive before 2.00pm on 2 April 2024 and all horses must depart on Sunday 7 April 2024.
Stable hire is from 5.00pm on day of arrival – 4.00pm on the day of departure (access from 2.00pm on Tuesday 2 April). Stables must be vacated on time so that incoming horses may be stabled. If stables are not vacated on time a fine of £80 per stable may be charged for late departure.
Any damage caused to stables will be charged to the hirer.
Horseboxes / trailers may be parked some distance from the stables.
Competitors may not sub-let or re-sell any stables they have purchased and are then unable and / or don’t wish to use themselves.
Stable Manager’s Office is open daily from 7.00am – 8.00pm
Stable Deposit
All Competitors will pay a £20 per stable cash deposit upon arrival at the Stable Managers Office prior to being allocated stables. This deposit is fully refundable prior to departure and upon confirmation that the Competitors stable has been emptied of bedding and left tidy.
If the stable is not emptied of bedding and left tidy the deposit will not be refunded.
Stable Bedding
All stables will be empty of bedding on arrival. Natural Flake Shavings may be purchased from the Stable Manager at £8.00 per bale between 9.00am and 8.00pm.

HorseHage
High Fibre Horsehage may be purchased from the Stable Manager £9.00 per bale between 9.00am and 8.00pm.

Vaccination Certificate
All horses and ponies at the Blue Chip Championships must have a current and valid certificate of vaccination against Equine Influenza.
Please read Point 37 in the Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships General Rules & Regulations.
There will be random checking of certificates and any horse or pony found without a valid certificate will not be permitted to remain at the Show.
Electric Lorry Hook Up
Limited 6amp electrical hook ups are available for horseboxes at a cost of £96 (inc. VAT) per hook up for the period that the Competitor is staying on the Show Ground and may not be transferred to another Competitor. Horseboxes will require a 16amp (blue socket) extension cable (which must conform to current electrical regulations) to connect to the socket supplied.
Whilst the Organiser will endeavour to supply the hook up booked the Organiser does not guarantee a constant supply throughout the Show, nor do we accept any responsibility for losses and / or discomfort occurring as a result of a break in the supply provided.
Electrical connection must be booked on-line and is on a strictly first come basis. No refunds can be made on any cancelled bookings.
