Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships with over 3200 rounds of show jumping this has truly been a brilliant year for the Championships. With 45 competitions and 13 Championships we witnessed great determination and sport from all who took part in the Championships. This is an amazing Championships enjoyed by juniors and seniors, amateur, semi- professional and professional riders alike.
Congratulations to all winners and runners up and to all who took part. Well done.

The Andrews Bowen surfaces which were installed in the summer of 2011 to both the outdoor Kingsland Equestrian Arena and the outdoor warm up arena for the Kingsland Equestrian Arena proved a major success at the Blue Chip Championships ever since.
The Show Organisers are delighted that all competition arenas and warm up arenas at the 2016 Blue Chip Championships will have Andrews Bowen surfaces.
With the grandstand and hospitality balcony full to capacity spectators enjoyed a fantastic night of entertainment at the Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships Gala Evening. Starting off the evening was a fun Kingsland Equestrian Junior Challenge and this was followed by a Master Class with Tina and Graham Fletcher who gave great insight into their training practices when producing young horses. Then the sport began, with a field of 40 top riders taking part in the Blue Chip Grand Prix.
International Course Designers Bob Ellis and Paul Connor set a course which delivered great spectator sport and produced 12 clear rounds that went forward to the Jump Off. First to set the standard was Robert Smith and Cimano E with a clear in 38.23, Philip Miller and Unbelievable Lady came close with a clear in 38.67 and then it was the turn of Jay Halim and Bart V who took up the challenge and produced the winning round in a time of 36.16.
There was another win for Jay as he also won the Andrews Bowen Challenge, Andrews Bowen who are official providers of arena surface at the venue offered a £1,000 Championship Bonus to a rider placed in the top 3 in the Pro Open Challenge on Thursday who then went on to win the Grand Prix and as Jay had been placed 2nd in this and then went on to take victory in the Grand Prix he picked up this additional prize.
