Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships
9-13 April 2025

The Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championship finals will be held at Addington Equestrian in Buckinghamshire and include a full schedule of competitions in both the indoor Show Direct Championship Arena and the Outdoor all weather Espayo Arena.

The Championship Finals are supported by a full range of competitions for which qualification prior to the Championships are not required.

IMPORTANT – YOUR MRL ACCOUNT:

Please ensure your MRL account is up to date and all information is correct including BS Registration Numbers and Names in advance of making your entry. Each horse will be allocated a unique Bridle Number so ensure your account is clean and has no duplicate horses listed as this may affect your First Aid Charges/ Bridle Number Allocation/ Running Orders. Classes for which Qualification is not Required!

There are a total of 16 senior and 9 pony classes at the Blue Chip Winter Show jumping Championships for which qualification prior to the show is not required.

Senior - Eskadron 1m Restricted Winter Classic

Three qualifiers at the Blue Chip Championships for the Final on Friday 11 April

Classes 8, 13, 23 and 25

Qualification prior to the Championships is not required (Entries for these classes may be closed prior to 25 March if they are over-subscribed). For registered Grade C horses that have not won a total of 375 British Show Jumping points as on 25 March 2025, to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Height of fences 1.00m

The top 12 horses from Classes 8, 13 and the top 16 horses from Class 23 at the Blue Chip Championships will qualify for the Final.

Senior - Natural Flake Shavings 1.10m

Three qualifiers at the Blue Chip Championships for the Final on Friday 11 April

Class 6, 16, 21 and 24

Qualification prior to the Championships is not required (Entries for these classes may be closed prior to 25 March if they are over-subscribed). For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Height of fences 1.10m

The Top 12 horses from Classes 6, 16 and the top 16 horses from Class 21 at the Blue Chip Championships will qualify for the Final.

Senior – Cheval Liberté 1.25m Championship

Three qualifiers at the Blue Chip Championships prior to the Cheval Liberté 1.25m Championship final on Friday 11 April.

Class 7, 15, 22 and 20

Qualification prior to the Championships is not required (Entries for these classes may be closed prior to the 25 March if they are over-subscribed). For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Height of fences 1.25m

For registered qualified horses at Cheval Liberté 1.25m Championship qualifiers; plus the top 12 horses from Classes 7, 15 and the top 16 horses from Class 22 at the Blue Chip Championships will qualify for the Cheval Liberté 1.25m Championship final.

Pony - Winter Challenge Competitions

Qualification for these competitions prior to the show is not required.

For registered ponies in Grades JC & JA to be ridden by Junior members.

Height of fences 1.15m

Top 8 Riders qualify for the Espayo Junior Challenge on the Friday Gala Night!

Class 34 – Saturday afternoon 12 April
Espayo Pony JC/JA Winter Challenge

For registered ponies in Grades JC & JA to be ridden by Junior members.

To be run as a handicap Rule 284. Height of fences in the first round 1.10m for JC Competitors and 1.15m for JA Competitors.

Class 35 – Saturday afternoon 12 April
Espayo Pony Open Speed Challenge

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior members.

Height of fences 1.10m

Class 43 – Sunday 13 April
PRB Horseboxes Pony Grades JC/JD Competition

For registered ponies in Grades JC & JD to be ridden by Junior members.

Height of fences 0.85m

Class 44 – Sunday 13 April
PRB Horseboxes Pony JC/JD Competition

For registered ponies in Grades JC & JD to be ridden by Junior members.
